Denver Enterprise Management User Group - Meeting Follow-up for 5/22

We had some great discussion last night at the Denver Enterprise Management User Group, where I spoke with the group about Operations Manager 2007, including some great conversations about Distributed Applications and the new Service Level Dashboard beta, Reporting, targeting rules and monitors, and how to better scope your views the Operations Console, as well as some best practices around maintenance mode.

Thanks to everyone who attended in person or via Live Meeting. It was my pleasure collaborating with all you guys!

System Center User Group Updates

First Meeting Schedule To accommodate speaker (and my) schedules due to preparation for TechEd 2008, we'll be pushing the first user group meeting back to mid to late June. Stay tuned for details!

System Center Solutions Contest Update There's definitely been a good amount of interest in the System Center Solutions contest currently in progress, but most activity has been in one or two particular areas. (I’d like to see some SCCM activity!)

 

 We’re giving away a Zune (2nd gen) for each of the following solution categories for any System Center product and grand prize of an X-Box360 will be awarded to the judges favorite entry from all categories. 
  • Best script
  •  Best report
  • Best tool or add-on
  • Best configuration pack
  • Best management pack

Remember, you can enter in multiple categories!
